One of the
most recurring things in my life is to think about my work and professional
future. For example, when I was a child I used to dream of one day being a
great astronaut who traveled to the moon. As I grew up, my skills to open each
technological device surprised me and my parents and saw me as a mechanical
future. Finally, when I left school my purpose was to be an engineer.
My tastes
for mathematics and knowledge in science led me to study Mechanical Engineering at the Usach. However this did not fill me at all and I felt that I
wasn't personally developing in the social fields that really appealed to me.
At this time, I started to participate in several Mapuche
organizations and I also started traveling a lot to the south. This opened my
horizons and I rethink my way of understanding what I wanted to be once my
university stage was over.
My tastes
for intercultural issues as well as for my knowledge in mathematics and
economics make me see myself working for some institution that works with
Indigenous peoples in the management of their economic and personal resources.
Finally, I
would also like to work teaching in some university about indigenous politics
in Chile and compare it internationally with other countries. As well as teaching
because we should be proud of the presence of the Mapuche people.
